How long are the classes?
Classes are 15 class sessions and go for 2 hours which fulfills the 30 Hour state curriculum. There is also 4 hours of self-paced Driver Awareness Training.

Who teaches the Defensive Driving School?
Instructors are former or current military, teachers or coaches.
When can students take Driver’s Education?
Students can begin at 15 years of age.

Can I miss a class?
No more than 3 absences are allowed. You can make up class for specific lesson on later date.
Do I need a Driver’s permit?
Yes, a driver’s permit is required before driving with the driver instructor. Students can get their permit no sooner than 10 days before the start date of class.
Steps:
Once registered make sure to get the WDL# to Defensive Driving School to get started. Balance is due 30 days after start of first class. Defensive Driving School will contact the DOL where you can go to the DMV to pick up the permit.
How do scheduled drives work?
Students will have 5 scheduled drives scheduled at least a week apart, plus a required observation.
We realize that not all students learn the same way, and that some students may benefit from additional help with learning the curriculum, and may need extra lessons, time, or support. Please consider whether this Individualized Driving Program (IDP) would benefit your student. See more info here: IDP video.

Click “Enroll Now” to see the class schedule and enroll in a class. After entering your birthdate and address, choose “Remote” for a live web-based zoom class or choose a location for an in-person class.
Includes 1 hour Lesson. Meet at our location. You must carry a valid learner’s permit or license to drive with us.
Includes 5 (1 Hour) Lessons. Meet at our location for drives. Includes a free two-part New Driver Workshop: a self-paced 2.5-hour online portion followed by a live 2-hour Zoom session held on select Tuesdays. It is recommended to take this workshop before your driving lessons.
Applicants who arrive late for their scheduled tests will not be allowed to test. You must show legal PHOTO identification at your testing appointment. The knowledge test consists of 40 multiple-choice questions about traffic safety laws. Applicants must answer at least 32 questions correctly in order to pass the test. Applicants will be given a maximum of 35 minutes to complete the test. You must bring your cell phone or tablet logged into your License eXpress account showing “Take an Exam”. You must have mobile data or a hotspot for your personal device to be connected to Wi-Fi for the duration of the test.

If your schedule is limited, call ahead to check availability. Includes 30 minute warm-up lesson in company vehicle and then skills test in a Company Vehicle. You must have previously passed the knowledge test to schedule this product (sold separately). You must arrive on-time for your scheduled test. Late arrivals will not be able to test. You must bring a valid permit and legal PHOTO identification for the warm-up lesson and skills test. A passing Knowledge test score is good for two years and is required to be eligible to take the skills test (no refunds if your knowledge test has expired).
